Champion the cause.
What does it mean to advocate? Simply put, it means to speak out -- to champion a cause. It doesn't mean that you have to go to your state legislature or Capitol Hill, or write letters or speak out at public meetings -- although those are all good ways to advocate. But what if you're not a letter writer or a public speaker? What can you do?
Well, you can learn about the issues that affect your community. The fact that you're looking at our website indicates that you want to learn more. Read newpapers. Listen to what politicians and other community leaders have to say. Attend city, county, community meetings just to listen. Form opinions and share your opinions with others.
One very good way to advocate is to vote. By voting for the canididate of your choice, you send a message about issues that are important to you.
So go ahead and advocate in a LIVE UNITED world. Do it in public. Be visible. Be loud.
