List of available board & committee positions at area non-profit agencies in town!

Girl Scouts of Central Illinois is recruiting a few board members from the C-U Area.  If you are interested, please contact Susan Gentry at 217-423-7791 or email sgentry@girlscouts-gsci.org

 

Rape, Advocacy, Counseling, and Education Services (RACES) is seeking interested board candidates.  The board provides administrative oversight of the agency via their monthly Board and subcommittee meetings.  Board service includes membership in one of two committees (Development or Finance), attendance of Board meetings, and assistance with some special events.  Board meetings are normally scheduled for the third Thursday of the month at their offices in Lincoln Square in Urbana.  Please contact Kerri True-Funk, Executive Director, at 217-344-6298 or email at funk@cu-races.org

 

Champaign Urbana Schools Foundation (CUSchoolsFoundation.org) is seeking board members and at-large community committee members to support the governance and implementation of its programs.  Nominating and committee development is a year-round activity.  Please contact Gail Rost at gailrost@cuschoolsfoundation.org if you have interest in supporting the organization with your time and talent.

Greater Community AIDS Project of East Central Illinois (GCAP), is seeking new board member candidates for fiscal year 2013.  Our board provides general oversight over the agency and its wide variety of program geared toward those living with HIV/AIDS in our immediate area.  GCAP also acts as a vital component for community awareness of the disease.  Individuals with accounting, social work and law background are encouraged to apply.  Time commitment is approximately 10 hours per month including a monthly board meeting.  Please contact Mike Benner, Executive Director, at 217-351-2437 or email mike@gcapnow.com for more information.
