We envision a community where individuals and families can meet life’s basic needs and gain economic stability through education, employment, permanent housing and basic and supportive services. We also envision a community that provides a foundation of fundamental care and support, essential to maintaining Champaign County as a community that cares for its own.

Individuals and families achieve economic self-sufficiency.

In time of Crisis, individuals are able to access services.

Percent of Families at/above 200 Percent of Poverty

Investment Priorities:

• To ensure Families/Individuals’ basic needs for food, shelter and clothing are met through temporary assistance.

• To ensure Families/Individuals are able to live in a safe environment with independence and dignity.

• To ensure Families/Individuals are healthy (socially, emotionally and physically) and have assistance in coping with crisis and preventing/ managing chronic conditions.

• To promote the economic self-sufficiency of families/individuals through services which provide skills, support, and training to obtain greater economic stability.
